Hi, I'm Els.

I'm an artist, paper florist, enthusiastic maker of things, and the person behind Els Jones Art.

I've always been happiest when I'm creating something. Sometimes that's a bouquet of paper flowers. Sometimes it's a handmade card, an illustration, a sculpture, a website, a strange new idea scribbled into a notebook, or a project that probably didn't need to exist but somehow ended up existing anyway.

What started as a curiosity about paper gradually became an obsession with what it could do. These days I create handcrafted paper flowers and botanical pieces that celebrate colour, character and a little bit of joyful absurdity. Every petal, leaf and stem is made by hand from paper, one piece at a time.

When I'm not making flowers, you'll usually find me exploring new creative rabbit holes, experimenting with materials, drinking entirely too much tea, or teaching my two daughters that making things is a perfectly reasonable response to almost any situation.

I believe handmade objects have a special kind of magic. They carry the fingerprints of the person who made them, the hours spent experimenting, the mistakes, the discoveries and the stories that happen along the way.
